Maleny Wedding Festival – Your Dream Hinterland Wedding Starts Here
As a Sunshine Coast marriage celebrant, I feel incredibly lucky to do what I do — and even luckier where I get to do it. From the iconic shores of Noosa Beach to breathtaking hinterland chapels like Tiffany’s Maleny, my role takes me across some of the most beautiful wedding locations in Australia.
Originally from Melbourne, I still officiate many ceremonies in Victoria, and regularly travel to New South Wales and the Gold Coast. But the Sunshine Coast — especially the hinterland — is where my heart (and most of my weddings) truly are.
Why Maleny is a Wedding Hotspot
The charming hinterland town of Maleny has become one of Queensland’s most sought-after wedding destinations — and it’s easy to see why. Think rolling green hills, misty mountain backdrops, and venues that feel both intimate and breathtaking.
Some of my most-loved venues here form part of the well-known Maleny Wedding Festival trail, including:
- Goodwater Ridge
- Tiffany’s Maleny
- Maleny Country Estate
Each venue offers something unique, but all share that signature hinterland magic
What is the Maleny Wedding Festival?
The Maleny Wedding Festival is one of the best ways to explore multiple venues in a relaxed, inspiring, and super fun environment.
Instead of spending months booking separate tours, you can:
- Visit multiple venues in one weekend
- Meet talented local vendors
- See real ceremony and reception setups
- Get a true feel for each space
And the best part? It’s typically spread over two days, giving you plenty of time to explore without feeling rushed. You can turn it into a little hinterland getaway — stay overnight, soak in the views, and really enjoy the process.
Why I Recommend It as a Celebrant
Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming — I see it all the time. There are so many beautiful venues, and it can be hard to know where to start.
That’s why I always recommend events like the Maleny Wedding Festival. It simplifies everything. You’re not just scrolling photos — you’re standing in the space, picturing your ceremony, meeting the people who could bring it all to life.
As someone who works closely with couples from the very beginning, I can honestly say: this is one of the best first steps you can take.
Keep an eye out — the festival usually takes place in winter, and it’s absolutely worth adding to your wedding planning calendar.
